Responding to the prompted theme, "clashing affect and clashing effect", this comprehensive exam challenged me to demonstrate my understanding of both applied and theoretical design principles in themed entertainment through designing a dark ride, from early conception through presenting a pitch deck of final concept material to my doctoral supervisor. The design explores a concrete theme of Quebecois folklore as instantiated in an indoor hybrid flume and coaster ride.
